Hi! I’m Freyan, the founder of Studio Rien, and I’m so glad you’re here.

"Princess Diana in galoshes," said a friend when asked to describe my work. I laughed, but I suppose they're right. I like flowers to feel effortless and casually glamorous… but still a bit mucked about. 

Beautiful, but interesting; interesting, but beautiful. Never forced, always rooted in their time and space. Taking wisps of a vision and translating them into something more than you could imagine. Never fussy, always deliberate.

We’re based in Brooklyn, but happily travel about. And of course: we only ever work with sustainable floristry methods. That means no floral foam, always composting, using local ingredients whenever possible, and never dyed materials.
